In a ceremony at The Ohio State University’s William Oxley Thompson Library, Columbus Landmarks Foundation announced the winners of its 2010 James B. Recchie Design & Preservation Awards.

Each year Columbus Landmarks honors individuals and institutions that have made exceptional strides in the promoting historic preservation and producing quality urban design in Central Ohio with seven awards, including the prestigious James. B. Recchie Design Award.

Brad Feinknopf was recognized as Columbus Landmarks Outstanding Person for 2010 for his long-term commitment to documenting the architectural history of Columbus.
It was said at the ceremony, “No photographer has done more to document & preserve the history of the City of Columbus than Brad Feinknopf over the last 20 years.  Once the buildings are gone, what often remains as the only record of them is the photographs and we have Brad Feinknopf to thank for many of the great images we have of our buildings today.”

I was extremely honored to be singled out and recognized for such a prestigious award!
